ArtPop 2024: A Year in Review
As we close out another phenomenal year of connecting art & community through the ArtPop mission, we’re reflecting on the stand-out moments that have made a massive impact on local artists and sustainable, accessible arts experiences in our community!
ArtPop’s Class of 2024 was featured regionally, nationally, & internationally!
We kicked off the year with installations of our Cities Program Class of 2024 on billboards and other public displays! Donated by our ad partners & sponsors, these displays have a value of over $8.5 million! Our Class of 2024 artists were exhibited throughout the Charlotte-metropolitan region; in Times Square NYC, Seoul Korea, and the Philippines. Thanks to our incredible billboard partners!
An Inspirational Milestone: Over $700,000 Has Been Paid to Local Artists through ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects!
ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects division, which connects local artists with businesses & organizations to create paid opportunities, reached a major milestone in 2024: In just four years of operating this division, ArtPop has successfully managed nearly 70 projects, bringing more art to our communities and directly supporting the sustainability of local artists' careers. We greatly appreciate the clients who have trusted us to manage their projects, making this milestone possible.

Halfway Point: Make 2025 Even More Impactful!

You can become a part of this mission. Local Artists need your support now more than ever.
ArtPop Events Made Local Art & Creative Experiences Accessible to our Community
During 2024, we were joined by our community in celebrating local art at multiple lovely events! Our accessible arts events are made possible by partnering with other community-oriented organizations and businesses, including Carolina Farm Trust, Blue Cross Blue Shield NC, Ascent Housing, Le Meridien Charlotte, Cain Center for the Arts, NoDa Brewing, and the Sullenberger Aviation Museum. We are so thankful to these partners, and to our 2024 event sponsors as well!
As Our Community Grows, Our Mission Strengthens
We are beyond thankful for the ongoing support of those within our community. In 2024, the ArtPop team gained a new part-time member: Vanessa Ross, our Social Media & Marketing Coordinator! We also saw fantastic growth in our Board of Directors, contract staff, community partners, and volunteers. These are all remarkable individuals who’ve dedicate their time and service to support the ArtPop Mission, and we are so thankful for them!
A Message From Our Founder, Wendy Hickey
Dear Community,
As we close out the year, we reflect on the incredible impact you have made - showcasing artists, brightening our community, and keeping art accessible to all.
Local artists need your support now more than ever. Your donation today sustains our mission, ensuring that ArtPop can continue transforming lives and communities.
ArtPop has been declined for the last 35 financial grants that we've applied for, limiting resources and reducing 2025 artist programing.
Your financial support grows artists' futures by providing marketing campaigns, grants, business education, community events, paid project opportunities, and more.
Together, we can ensure that creativity continues to thrive where we live and work.
With gratitude,
Wendy
