Nick Napoletano - Interior Mural for JLL

ArtPop partnered with Nick Napoletano to create this whimsical mural titled ‘Fly Away Home’ for JLL’s new Charlotte office. The JLL team joined into the mural process - not only in the inspiration that brought Nick’s work to life - but also in laying the foundation of the mural by creating the mural ‘doodle grid’ - individually spray painting words and phrases that inspire them and inspire togetherness.
Artist Testimonial:
“After speaking with the JLL team, I thought it was important to highlight the critical role each unique individual has within the company as a whole. The close community environment they are fostering is apparent, and something you don’t typically see in corporate culture.
The mural plays off this concept showing a swarm/murmuration of birds that all move in perfect synchronized patterns together. The birds are all connected moving together seamlessly. Swarms will always happen above a roost (the place where the birds settle and perch for shelter) which seemed an apt analogy given JLLs recent transition to their new regional home. Instead of using a swarm of one species of birds I chose to use a variety of different species to show the diversity of the individuals of the group - each is distinctly different but they are working/moving together in perfect coordination.
It was an honor to work with ArtPop, who has been championing artists, young and established for many years so it was a privilege to partner with a team that can seamlessly speak to both the creative and corporate worlds, lightening the load for both respectively. As an artist, having the logistical support on the backend allowed me to focus more on delivering a product that was truly special for JLL."
