Leigh B. Williams - Team-Building Workshop for City of Charlotte M.Y.E.P
ArtPop was contacted by the City of Charlotte to create a team building exercise for their Mayor’s Youth Employment Program where their team could have an artistic experience and learn more about one another. To bring this vision to life, ArtPop connected their team to Leigh B. Williams, local artist and Cities Program alum from both the Class of 2014 and 2023!
Malaysha K. Belton & Lily Roman - Local Artist Gallery at Blue Cross NC Charlotte Center

The Blue Cross NC team once again partnered with ArtPop’s Inspiration Projects division to support and showcase more local artists in their community-focused Charlotte Center! The result was the creation of The Local Artist Gallery, a space where Charlotte-area creatives can exhibit their work within this community-focused center. The inaugural exhibition in this space featured two artists from our Cities Program Class of 2024: Malaysha K. Belton and Lily Roman!
Alex Lieberman - Upcycled Accessories for Crescent Communities
This unique project beautifully blends the environmental sustainability of our Upcycling Initiative with the custom commissions managed through our Inspiration Projects division! ArtPop was contacted by Charlotte-headquartered Crescent Communities, who wanted to creatively repurpose materials from retired light pole advertising banners. To tackle such a unique challenge, ArtPop commissioned local artist and upcycle designer Alex Lieberman!
Liz Haywood - Community Mural for Lake Mist Apartments
In this partnership with Ascent Housing and the Housing Impact Fund, ArtPop and local artist Liz Haywood were tasked with beautifying a functional retaining wall at the entrance of Lake Mist Apartments. Drawing inspiration from the residential community’s input, the result was a vibrant 625 square foot mural that brings more warmth, color, and beauty into the community!
Multiple Artists - Art Installations for Haynes Boone Charlotte
In this Inspiration Projects installation, our partners Haynes Boone were looking for local art to outfit their shiny new offices in Uptown Charlotte’s Legacy Union building! We were thrilled to manage this purchase & installation of 10 artworks by local artists - many of whom were previously featured in ArtPop’s Cities Program and/or past Inspiration Projects!
Raman Bhardwaj - Mural for Rack Room Shoes Morrisville Store
To enhance the guest experience in their Morrisville retail store, Rack Room Shoes partnered with ArtPop Inspiration Projects to commission an original artwork by a local artist, which would tell the story of the NC Triangle area. Acclaimed Greensboro-based muralist Raman Bhardwaj was hired to bring Rack Room’s vision to life by designing and painting a vibrant mural that acts a backdrop to the store’s checkout counter!
Natalie Daratony - Interior Mural for Chernoff Newman
This mural was commissioned by Chernoff Newman to brighten the kitchen space in their uptown Charlotte office! ArtPop worked alongside Cities Program Class of 2024 artist Natalie Daratony to bring their creative vision to life in the form of a verdant, nature-inspired painted mural!
Stella Pitre and Ian Wegener - Commission for UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School
To further elevate their beautiful new educational facility in Uptown Charlotte, the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School commissioned ArtPop Inspiration Projects to manage the creation and installation of two unique artworks by local artists! ArtPop provided artist recommendations from its extensive network of local creatives, from which the client selected two Cities Program alum: Stella Pitre (Class of 2018) and Ian Wegener (Class of 2020).
Adam Jochim & Ian Wegener - Awards for Lowe's Foundation Gable Grants Program
In this Inspiration Projects partnership, the Lowe’s Foundation trusted ArtPop to manage the commission of original, custom-fabricated trophies for their Gable Grants program.
